After buying "Alquimia planetaria" yesterday - and, of course, listening to it a lot - it was clear that I would purchase "Transmuta" some day as well. OK, this day turned out to be today. Just couldn't wait anymore. This album is on the same level of excellence as its predecessor. However, it sounds somewhat different, because the emphasis has shifted from lush woodwind arrangements to vocals. Well, not a problem at all! This variant is in fact highly enjoyable, frequently reminding me of Dave Stewart's vocal arrangements for the "The Northettes", back in the "Hatfield and the North" days. Argentine Canterbury? Gosh, everything is possible in music! Besides that, there are some more goodies on this album that make me happy, like Rhodes piano and fretless bass. In one word: Touché!
